After living for 8 years in Italy, this was possibly the best Italian meal I've had outside Italy. The lamb was cooked to perfection as was my partners duck. The service was awesome (Thank you Stella and the team) even though we were the only people eating on the small terrace, we were not forgotten and checked on every 20 mins or so. Nothing was too much trouble even though our starter was not on the menu, the chief happily made it for us. Portions were good for the price with the added bonus of a free espresso and some limoncello. This is going to become one of our go to places in the future. We'll done the management and staff of L'Olivo, you smashed it. If only all restaurants treated their customers so well and produced food so good. Will definitely return soon.
Always have the most amazing experience when we go to this restaurant! The service is unmatched, everyone is very attentive and they create such a relaxed atmosphere. The food is top notch, packed with flavour and just the right portions based on the richness of the food. The perfect place to celebrate a special occasion, or just to treat yourself! Our top tip is to book an earlier slot when the restaurant is a bit quieter as it fills up quite quickly from about 7pm.
What a gem! I have discovered this restaurant when looking for a place to enjoy some sea food in st albans area and it did not disappoint... service was the most attentive, helpful and made us feel really welcome! Food was delicious, fresh and just fantastic. Aperol spritz is an actual aperol spritz not 50% sparkling water as in some other places. I will be definitely going back! Chefs kiss
Had a great meal there on my wedding anniversary. The food was brilliant but my favourite was the simple affogato dessert which was superb.

This must be one of the best Italian restaurants in Hertfordshire. All of the staff are super friendly but also very efficient. Really great food in a lovely environment. Prices are reasonable for the quality of the food and drinks. This place exceeded my expectations. Slightly out of the way but definitely worth an Uber trip!
